Elite 8 Rankings and Predictions

 Ranking the Elite 8:

 1. Louisville Cardinals: It took them 2 Rounds to heat up, but when they heat up, usually the team their playing is dead meat. The could've easily beaten Arizona by 50. They didn't because they started subbing halfway through the second half, usally a team up by 30 with Ten to go and already subbing would only win by 10, they won by 39. They look like the best team in the nation, they are the best team in the nation.

2.  North Carolina Tar Heels:  It's going to mess up my bracket if they get to the final, but if Louisville and North Carolina make it to the final, it mught be better than last years Championship.

3. Villanova Wildcats

4. Oklahoma Sooners

5. Connecticut Huskies

6. Michigan State Spartans

7. Pittsburgh Panthers

8. Missouri Tigers

Connecticut 97 vs. Missouri 85

Louisville 84 vs. Michigan State 75

North Carolina 89 vs. Oklahoma 86

Villanova 81 vs. Pittsburgh 76

Bracketology (1-4 seeds)

                        1 Seeds
East                 Uconn
West                Louisville
Midwest          North Carolina
South               Pittsburgh

                        2 Seeds
East                 Oklahoma
West                Memphis
Midwest          Duke
South               Kansas

                         3 Seeds
East                  Michigan State
West                 Missouri
Midwest           Villanova
South                Marquette

                         4 Seeds
East                  Wake Forest
West                 Purdue
Midwest           Clemson
South                Washington

5 Key points:

  1. Okay, so even after a bad loss Pittsburgh stays as a 1 seed. Lucky for them Oklahoma lost to Kansas the night before moving Oklahoma to a 2 seed and Kansas to a 2 seed also.
  2. Missouri getting extremely close to a 2 seed and it wouldn't suprise me if they made a run for a one seed late in February and early March.
  3. Washington continues its climb and they remain the top of the Pac 10. Marquette moves from a 2 seed to a low 3 seed since my last bracketology.
  4. Louisville moves into a 1 seed for the first time.
  5. Memphis isn't going to get a one seed unless a good team or two seriously plumits. Why, beacause of their confernce. They have no competition in their conference and didn't beat a high quality team in the non-conference season.
