FINAL Final Four Rankings

Sweet Sixteen:

Well it's been a long ride. Ups and downs, ins and outs, and here we are. The Final Sixteen Teams have been decided.
By Region here they are:

Ohio State
Kentucky
Marquette
North Carolina

Duke
Arizona
Connecticut
San Diego State

Kansas
Richmond
VCU
Florida State

Butler

Wisconsin
Brigham Young
Florida

Teams in BOLD made the Sweet Sixteen last year.

2 of those teams made the Final Four last year.

1.Kansas Jayhawks - Once a difficult region to get out of, now the easiest one to get through. They play a 12 Seed in the sweet sixteen, and will play an 11 or 10 seed in the Elite Eight.

2.Duke Blue Devils - Last years champions. They have to be a favorite at this point. They still have some really good teams to get through, but they have the best Coach in the Land.

3.Ohio State Buckeyes - They destroyed George Mason. If they get past Kentucky, they will play UNC or Marquette. If they play like they did in the 2nd Round, nobody will beat them.

4.Brigham Young Cougars - We were all counting them out after they lost Davies, and now here they are, the highest seed left in their Region. They also destroyed Gonzaga who many people thought would beat them.

5.Connecticut Huskies - We saw how they finished the season in the Big East, can they ride that momentum?

6.North Carolina Tar Heels - Another team playing very well. Not giving them the Marquette game, but they have a better chance against them than Syracuse.

7.Wisconsin Badgers - They played great against Kansas State. I don't see why we should doubt them at this point.

8.San Diego State Aztecs - Their in the west, but I don't think their as good as the other top teams left in their region.

9.Butler Bulldogs - Here we are again, out of the blue, Butler beating one seeds, and back in the Sweet Sixteen, with a good chance to get to the Final Four.

10.Florida Gators - Another good team in the SouthEast. Four of the Ten teams are in the Southeast. You know what that means? Close games, upsets, nobody knows for sure who will come out of it.

10 Teams most likely to make it to the Final Four

TOURNAMENT TIME:

1.Pittsburgh - They probably have the easiest road to the Final Four. Nothing against Florida and BYU, but there is no way UF should have been a 2 seed, and BYU has lost a key player. Let's just hope MSU doesn't gobble them up.

2.Duke - UCONN and SDSU are problems, but they don't have as many challenges as Kansas and OSU do. They also have championship experience.

3.Connecticut - Well, they have to get through Duke obviously, but I don't think they will have any problems until the Sweet Sixteen with SDSU.

4.Ohio State - They definately have it harder than the rest of the 1 seeds. But I like all the matchups they may get... except Washington.

5.Kansas - Like I said above definately not the easiest road, but I think their the best team in the field. Notre Dame and Louisville will be aiming for them though.

6.Notre Dame - Right there with Kansas. Really really good team... are we going to have a UofL/Notre Dame rematch? Probably not.

7.San Diego State - This is a good good team, people may doubt them, but they are in a good position.

8.North Carolina - If they can avoid getting upset before Ohio State, they make another run to the Final Four.

9.Florida - Their not good enough to be a 2 seed. But they are good enough to beat the teams in their region.

10.Michigan State SpartansMichigan State - WHATT!!! Yes. Izzo will have his troops ready. They have the easiest region, they can beat those teams in the way. I would not be suprised to see them in the Final Four again.

Final Four Rankings: March 5th

1 Week to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

March 5:

1.Pittsburgh - My pick to win now, and my pick to win at the beginning of the season. Remained consistant the whole year!

2.Ohio State - Probably has the best teamwork in the nation, can Sullinger carry them to a title?

3.Notre Dame - If Duke loses they could be a 1 Seed.

4.Kansas - Great win to hold of Mizzou, don't expect a 2nd round exit this year, but then again, nobody did last year.

5.Duke - If they lose to UNC, they don't move down, but UNC will move up. A win there is as good as a conference championship. IF they win, they'll be 1 or 2.

6.North Carolina - Another Great win!

7.Louisville - Should have won the game against WV, I won't hold it against them. They can beat anyone in the nation if they have a good night.

8.Texas - Let's see if their fall continues. If it does, their gone.

9.Brigham Young - Maybe the New Mexico games were just matchup problems. Now they will have teams underestimating them. This team is still very dangerous.

10.Wisconsin - Jordan Taylor should be Big 10 Player of the Year. WOW. This team is good. They proved they can win on the road. Could this be Bo Ryan's year???

Final Four Rankings: March 3rd

I will now update my Final Four Rankings DAILY!

March 2:

1.Pittsburgh - I still think this team is the team to beat. 4 losses isn't terrible if you are in the Big East.

2.Ohio State - Most well rounded team in the nation. Let's see how Sullinger does in the Big Dance.

3.Notre Dame - How many 3's did they make against Nova? How many? Oh yea, that's right 20.

4.Kansas - Bill Self is a great coach. Let's see if they can beat the biggies in the tournament.

5.Duke - Remember last year when everyone blindly forgot about Duke with the talk about UK and KU? I don't think anyone will make that mistake this year.
6.Purdue - I don't think they will make it to the Final Four, but they will probably get to the elite eight. They could get to the Final Four if they get a good matchup though.

7.Louisville - With other big teams falling they could sneak in with a really good seed in the tournament.

8.Texas - They have shown they can't beat a good team. But they have proved they can lose games their not supposed to. I still think they have been overrated just because of a win against Kansas.

9.St. John's - The Giant Slayer. Teams like this can make it far. They probably will get good seeding because of the good wins, which will help their chances either more. Look for them to take down the first #1 seed.

10.North Carolina - Great game last night. I thought they were toast. Zeller and Barnes combined are deadly.

7.Louisville - I really think this team is good. They have put a couple of bad losses behind them and are on a roll. This is a great shooting team as well.

8.Brigham Young - I know how much one players absents can leave a team. Hopefully they will figure it out by the tournament.

Final Four Rankings: March 1st

I will now update my Final Four Rankings DAILY!

Impressions of teams can change quickly can't they?

March 1:

1.Pittsburgh - The loss to a red hot Louisville isn't all bad, in fact a Male Cheerleader tried to give the game back to Pittsburgh!

2.Ohio State - This is the most well rounded team in the nation, hopefully they can regain momentum.

3.Notre Dame - Woah. They destroyed Villanova, absolutely murdered them! Wow. This team looks really good. They have experience, a great 3 point team, and a very underrated coach.

4.Kansas - I think they could go under the radar in the tournament, which would give them a huge advantage.

5.Brigham Young - Is the SDSU matchup, just a matchup problem? Or are they really this good? Well I don't know about that, but Jimmer is!

6.Duke - If they beat North Carolina they will be number 1. That is THE ULTIMATE TEST!

7.Purdue - They not only beat at Indiana, they destroyed Michigan State, though that's not saying much this year.

8.Louisville - They can beat anyone in the nation, but can they every night?

9.Texas - One Kansas game changed everyone's opinion of them. Now I'm just starting to think they had a good game. They just dropped one at Colorado and now at HOME against Kansas State.

10.St. John's - How many teams has beaten as many good teams as them?? Probably not any. They just keep doing it. I think those bad games in the beginning of the year are in the past.

10 Teams most likely to make it to the Final Four

Week 16
I will post my rankings here every week or so. I will submit my poll to the UTEA and OSUBuckeyeFan is going to put together an accumulative ranking of teams based on everyone's rankings. Just go here and you can sumbit your own rankings! Thank You!

1.Pittsburgh - Has 2 losses in a completely loaded Big East, there only other loss is Tennessee. This team is for real.

2.Ohio State - They need to avoid another loss this weekend. Is this Thad Matta's year?

3.Texas - The four losses concerns me, but becides the one slip-up in Big 12 play, they have been stellar.

4.Notre Dame - Barely beat Providence. An experienced team with an underrated coach. It would be better if they could do without the close games, but at least they can win them.

5.Kansas - A well rounded team with a really good coach, do they have enough tournament experience? I say yes.

6.Brigham Young - He is this year's Stephen Curry, only BYU has a better all around team. Look out for them in the tournament.

7.Duke - They are probably better than this, but they haven't proved it to me.

8.Florida - Can they win on the road? We will find out today, against a struggling Kentucky team.

9.Louisville - I have watched them play several times, and when their playing well, they are almost impossible to beat, times like this make it far in the tournament.

10.Purdue - My hoosiers couldn't save me from doing this. They went to probably the most hetic environment of the year and held of a vengeful IU team. They beat OSU and Wisconsin. They have never proven they could do anything in the tournament, will they this year?

Teams to Watch:
St. John's
Wisconsin
Connecticut
Villanova
Syracuse
San Diego State

10 Teams most likely to make it to the Final Four

Week 9
I will post my ranknings here every week or so. I will submit my poll to the UTEA and OSUBuckeyeFan is going to put together an accumulative rankning of teams based on everyone's rankings. Just go here and you can learn about the rankings and start doing your own! Thanks!

  1. Kansas - This team has everything right now, they just need to avoid those games and it could be smooth sailing.
  2. Duke - Last years Champions, they need Kyrie, but they have the best Coach in the game and it could be consecutive championships for them for the first time since Florida did a couple of years back.
  3. Ohio State - It is going to be difficult for any team to beat them this year, they have weapons all over, if you Double up Sullinger, Diebler hits a three and if it's not him it Buford.
  4. Notre Dame - Time for them to give themselves a name in College Basketball, we've seen what they can do. They lost to Kentucky and Syracuse, who ironically I'm ranking below them. Why? Now they have a better idea what to look for in close games, and on the road. They haven't lost to a bad team yet, and if you think about it, they may have the most experience of any team from this year alone.
  5. Syracuse - Well another team with a great coach and great Defense, they are well balanced, but I would like to see them take on some of those important road games in the Big East before we really start talking about them.
  6. Pittsburgh - This is a really good team, but it lacks something that i can't seem to pick out that the real big Powerhouses have. I don't know what, but I think they will get it figured out, and will move up as conference play continues.
  7. San Diego State - I almost out Kansas State here... but i don't think their there YET. I can't find anyone deserving of this last spot. I think San Diego State has the talent to get here, I think their biggest problem is the pressure. But right now they look good.
  8. Kentucky - Ugh. I hate them. But it's unbiased, and i have to admit, they are getting better, it always helps to have an Enes Kanter to practice against. Their Big Guy game is getting better and better. And young and unexperienced players get better every game. They did lose to Georgia, but the dawgs are good and will likely make the tournament this year.
  9. Connecticut - Their a good team, they may have already lost twice in the Big 12, but they got a huge road win against Texas. Connecticut is back to it's old self.
  10. Brigham Young - I have only seen a little of this team, but they have just beaten a really good UNLV team, and I think they will be overlooked come the Big Dance. I think their this year's Butler.

On the Waiting List:

North Carolina
