1. Kentucky - Well, this is the obvious choice. They best team they have played since Carolina is Indiana, and they will play them again Friday. Kentucky has all the talent to win a championship.

2. Michigan State - Draymond Green, can lead this team to a championship, you can almost count on a Final Four. Leadership is this teams biggest advantage.

3. North Carolina - They are a big question mark without Marshall. I have to give them the benefit of the doubt, knowing what they were capable of.

4. Kansas - Woah, got a scare from Purdue. They are a really good team, when they show up.

After an almost upsetless Thursday, Friday certainly made up for it in a BIG way.

A 15 seed had not knocked off a 2 seed in 11 years when Hampton beat Iowa State. Yesterday. Norfolk State broke that streak by beating Final Four favorite Missouri.

A new streak began after that game and lasted about 2 and a half hours. Lehigh took down the Duke Blue Devils later last night. This is the definition of MARCH MADNESS!

Here were the Total Round 1 Upsets:

Hello everyone! This is my first edition of bracketology this year, so bare with me, I'm a little rusty. If you see any mistakes, like rematches, etc, it would be very helpful of you to point that out! I differ a little from some of my fellow bracketologists, but I also realize at this point in the game, there will be a LARGE variety of differences between brackets.

Midwest (St. Louis)

1 KENTUCKY

16 MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/UT-ARLINGTON

Well, I could be way off or right on track, but I have a feeling this year in the Big 10 Conference is going to be very top heavy this year. I believe 9 teams will get 8+ wins in the conference this year, while 3 teams will get 3 or less wins. Seems a little crazy, but I think it's a huge possibility. There are going to be 216 Big Ten Conference games this season and I'm excited to see every one of them I can. Here are my 2011 - 2012 Big Ten Conference predictions:

1. Ohio State

Current Record: (13-1)

Predicted B1G Record: (15-3)

Hello All! I have been experimenting with some things today and I thought I would show it. I've been trying to create a sort of rating system for my Top 30 teams in the nation! I am still trying to get down the best way to calculate all of this, so comments, questions, or suggestions are welcome. And because I can't copy and paste excel, I will have to bore you some more!

Until I come up with an actual name for this it will be the PBWWL Ratings System. Pomeroy Best Win Worst Loss Ratings System.

1. Calculate the number of T50 RPI Wins each team in my Top 30 has.

2. T50 Wins - # of Losses

Hello everyone! In case you haven't noticed, basketball is already in full force, and I have some games this week, that are definately worth tuning in to:

@

2:00 PM EST SATURDAY

Well, if you like watching online this will be a great game to see. I honestly don't see why this game isn't on television. It will be interesting to see how Louisville plays without Peyton Siva, he is listed as doubtful after spraining an ankle. Let's see if Butler can come back after a loss at a good Evansville team. Siva isn't the first player to miss a game because of an injury this year. Junior Guard Mike Marra went down Sunday Night against Lamar, giving him a season ending injury.

This year is the 100th anniversery of the 1st running of the Indianapolis 500! Today I will be ranking the field 1-33 on the drivers I think have the best chance to win this year's 500.

Scott Dixon – Not starting in 1st, but is a winner here, and probably has the best race car, can’t go wrong with good ol’ chip here.

Alex Tagliani – Has had the fasted car through qualifying, and he is good here too! Had a great car last year too, and it could be his time to break through at Indy.

Dan Wheldon – What was last year the 10th time he’s come in 2nd? All those 2nd places has been overlooking his win here a couple years back. He won here as a Ganassi, 2nd as a Panther, can he do the same with Herta.

Lets jump right into it:

1.Ohio State - The have been the best team all year, and they proved they are that good when they demolished George Mason.

2.Duke - This team has been a 1 seed the past 2 years and won last year, when are people going to stop underestimating them as a National Champion.

3.Kansas - Really well-rounded team with a great young coach.

I did this the last couple years so here we go.

Let's go through some suprise upsets the first round this year.

Obviously we're going to have to start with #4 Louisville and #13 Morehead State. Who would've guessed? A 3 with the clock winding down, ended Louisville's suprise season. Right after that, #5 Vanderbilt fell to #12 Richmond. But where were the day two upsets everyone was predicting well they didn't come. Wisconsin avoided another upset. Oakland couldn't put down another game against a top team. What about Indiana State and Syracuse, or Utah State and Kansas State? They just didn't pull through this year.

So with out further delay I present to you the Upset Meter Round 1 2011:

#4 Kentucky vs. #5 West Virginia

This should be easy. Kentucky has been playing well lately. They won their conference championship, they got by a sneaky Princeton team. Plus their good be some payback in store for WV taking away their Final Four last year.

The Experts Pick:

My Pick:

Well, whether you agree with it or not, these 4 teams will be competing to get in the Final Field of 64. VCU, USC, UAB, and Clemson will be competing for those spots.

Here is our first matchup:

The 11 seed out of the Colonial Athletic Conference, VCU:

Virginia Commonwealth - This team has been hated upon for not deserving a spot in the tournament. Those who say that... are wrong. This team has 3 top 50 wins. They had 14 wins in an UNDERRATED conference. They have Old Dominion, George Mason, and VCU. This is a good team and they will be someone to watch.

TOURNAMENT TIME:

1.Pittsburgh - They probably have the easiest road to the Final Four. Nothing against Florida and BYU, but there is no way UF should have been a 2 seed, and BYU has lost a key player. Let's just hope MSU doesn't gobble them up.

2.Duke - UCONN and SDSU are problems, but they don't have as many challenges as Kansas and OSU do. They also have championship experience.

3.Connecticut - Well, they have to get through Duke obviously, but I don't think they will have any problems until the Sweet Sixteen with SDSU.

Remained consistant the whole year!

2.Ohio State - Probably has the best teamwork in the nation, can Sullinger carry them to a title?

First one of the year! I hopefully followed all necessary procedures and hopefully I don't have any rematches. If I do PLEASE tell me so I can fix it. I do have one problem, I have West Virgina and Pittsburgh as a possible Sweet Sixteen matchup, but I don't see any fix for that right now. This is my first one in a LONG time, so I'm sure there will be mistakes. Here we go:

East

1 Ohio State vs.16 Northern Colorado/McNeese State

8 Old Dominion vs. 9 Georgia
